This is one of most important things to me if not the most. When we are growing up we go through all the motions of kidhood and teenhood....BUT, soon you realize you are almost what they call an adult. So many things have happened already along the way and they now seemed to have happened very quickly. What once seemed like forever to get there is now here. As this time was coming fast on me I had many concerns but the one that seemed to take me over is ..."WHO AM I?" I felt a very strong need to find out about me. I searched my heart then my soul.... I had to know what I am about so I could live and be happy within my own temple. As I searched some things I tossed out and some things I kept. Much like cleaning your house and truly I was. I have learned this has been important from that moment on...sort and toss.Keep what is valuable to take with you. Along the way I have met people who want to change me. They would like me to dye my hair or dress in a way that suits them, just to mention a few simple things. Hmmm, I say. So, I think..... and maybe some times think a little longer about it..and then here is my conclusion. If you don't like me as I am then you never liked me to begin with. I will not and cannot become who or what you want me to be. If I choose to let you change me then one day I will look in the mirror and wonder who is this person. I don't know you. Know, I would not ever ask you to change anything about you. If I do, you will lose yourself,your soul ... It would be best to walk away...and I would let you go so you can be who you are and I me. Somebody will love us and all of us just as we are. Never sell your soul.......Never lose yourself. When we look in the mirror we can smile and know what lies inside our sacred heart and that alone is HAPPINESS!!!

I agree and this is harder said then done. When I was younger looks were very important to me (it seemed like everything emphasized how you looked?) 80's sucked anyways now I am mid 40's and really happy with me physically and spiritually because I accept myself for me and just love me its simple (now) lol
