A Girl Named Patches...Part 11

Where are we now? It's 1973.

Ma was working and has been at a local factory. She spent most of our childhood at home. I remember the day she broke down crying and telling Pa she had to get out of the house it was driving her crazy. Her days at the house was cooking, cleaning, ironing. These are things I remember always seeing her doing. And, well I was there with her during most of these times. My Ma and me sure had our moments and has I was getting older I was getting more rebellious. But with her when it was good it was and when it was bad it was. Just you didn't know when it would turn from one or the other. Seemed to happen pretty fast and catch you off guard every single time. What I remember best about Ma was she sure had cooking and baking down to an art. She knew just when that yeast was lukewarm and her pastries always came out golden brown. I learned that cooking and baking were two different arts and while she was teaching me both I still struggle with her picture perfect baking. My Ma was a straight forward woman with no tact involved. If she thought it she said it and if it hurt you, oh well. Her words were potent and she knew it and she prided herself with it. But, she was also a broken hearted woman as her family abandoned her for marrying outside her religion. She was Roman Catholic and back in the 50's and perhaps even now, I don't know but marrying outside of the religion was greatly frowned upon. Her father removed her totally from the family will and the closeness that most families might or should have didn't happen for my mom. So, I saw her as lost and broken hearted and in many ways. Her husband was an alcoholic and clearly had an anger management issue. She spoke of divorce many times but I think she feared what would happen if she did and where would she go. She didn't have a driver's license and no education. One thing about both my parents though they were never afraid of work. Both worked very hard and taught all of us kids top quality work ethics. That's in brief my Mama.

Heath would be having some troubles of his own. He has taken to extra curriculum activities like breaking and entering. He seemed to give the alcohol a try and well he liked it just as much as Pa did. His temper was bad when he was mad and he would grow into thinking somebody was always after him and that I knew who since he and I were very close. My brother though was my best friend. He saw all through the years what was going on and later would step in to make a major change in my life that would last forever. I love my brother.

Shelli was not usually around. Not real sure where she was or what she was doing and whatever it was I was not a part of her life. I would welcome her non- existence though as my arms were healing for every day she was gone. I longed for a sister relationship with her but that was not meant to be. I wasn't good enough to fit into her world. Well not until there was nobody else. That will come later.

Pa was working in the steel mill and worked hard. I remember in the summer he would get home and go directly to that garden and pull a frigging weed. He did pride himself in his gardening and I must say he should. It was a good acre that he maintained and all by hand. Every vegetable was planted and maintained until harvest. He could sing too. I remember him singing up a storm and that could be because of his background and singing out on that porch. I suspect they were out there every day not just one. Religion seemed to be a very very important element in his life and I honestly feel this is a good thing. But to much of a good thing can be bad and well for Pa it would take it's toll on him as he took every word from the bible to the fullest and manifested it until it had a heart beat all it's own. His feelings for me would continue as usual though and although I longed for his love and acceptance I was never going to get it and a time came when I would pray he would die and feared one day if he didn't one of us was going to by each other's hand. I can't say I ever hated him or do even now. But he gets a six month sentence..........................

The Road Less Traveled

The Road Less Traveled
June 7, 2009 at 2:46pm

Where is this road going? I cant see... there are way to many obstacles blocking my view. The clouds are hovering overhead and about to burst open with hail stones...good thing I am never without excedrin, I fear I am going to be in need of them soon. The branches are all hitting me. What the hell is going on?? Right, just what I need a fork in the road. Which way do I go? I want this path to be straight and narrow... now what and why???

How do I decide left, right or continue going forward? DAMN.............. No clue... ok I must eliminate...going forward has been good but has brought me to these cross roads..... going left just seems wrong.... AHHHHHH, I GOT IT... I GOT IT.. I WILL CHOOSE TO GO RIGHT....FOR GOING THE RIGHT WAY...YES, THIS IS THE ANSWER.. ALWAYS GO RIGHT.....AHH...this is beautiful,,,weeping willows all lining the road...awesome view...flowers all bloom. OH NO...damn, i am headed toward the storm...ouch....OUCH........ these hailstones must weigh 10 pounds each. Why, why...........???? I am so glad I have the excedrin cause surely I need them now. Maybe turning right wasnt a good idea after all... it seemed to be the " RIGHT" way to go. Finally, whew the storm is over....wow,I almost didnt make it through that one.

OH my goodness there is the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. Every color in it. A blessing just to have this opportunity to see such a beautiful sight. Oh, why, how, could I have ever doubted it... I have always been going in the correct direction, just didn't always know it. Yes, this is indeed the right way............ adventurous for sure..rocky along the way, painful too....my head still hurts...but no doubt, this is MY JOURNEY I am supposed to take...and the road I am suppose to travel...

Peace and Love....Light and Joy and much HOPE to all..!!!

Me and My Lobster.......

If you are lucky enough to find one lobster that is your soul mate you are one of the lucky ones. But, how lucky must you be to find another lobster in one lifetime? Pretty lucky. With the web it makes it possible to search the world over. And, if you had one lobster you know what and who you are looking for. This search is NOT an easy task and you might even think it isn't possible to find. You even consider aborting the mission after you email and text 5,324 times.
Then, suddenly it is as if the universe as heard you and your lobster just suddenly arrives. Now the coolest part of this is.....you just know it!! You know this is the one and all the time you have spent searching for your lobster it's OVER. Your lobster knows your heart, your soul and the connection is beyond what can be imagined, yet not, because you did have it before and you know how its supposed to feel. I found my lobster.... he is EVERYTHING I have been looking for.
Mmmmm, his heart is pure, the glimmer in his eyes is heaven. It shows his inner self and how the white light shines through him. He knows how to take your hand and journey to the end. He holds your heart and knows how fragile it is and comforts it with the utmost love and care. This lobster of mine has my heart and     all the love that has been stored in it for him.

He has no idea how loved he is going to be but I think he will be happy. Our story is just beginning, our journey is just taking flight, but inside our hearts we know we are the  one for each other and finally we SMILE again. Honey, take my hand.......the adventure is about to begin and the journey can take us any where but being together is what will make it the very best. I LOVE YOU.......MY LOBSTER forever and ever and ever.......................... XOXOXOXOXOXO

What is a Knight??

What is a Knight??? HMMMM!!!
June 11, 2009

Well, ok, many have asked. So, here we go! A Knight can be simply described in one word..."HONOR". Ok, well you probably think it is all over now huh? Now, you know. LOL,LOL,LOL..................you know better...hahahaha.... What is Honor?

Honor is faithfulness to the highest standards, honesty, integrity, justice, noble to mention just a few. Now that we have the meanings from webster, we can move on. A knight for a maiden is simply an honorable man held to high standards of mortality, integrity and faithfulness. He will walk beside you as you both journey through life. Thats right, BESIDE you. He will laugh and cry with you. He will care for you in all ways when well or ill. When things get tough as they always do, he will stand the course and not leave for what he THINKS may be greener pastures. You can always find someone but you cannot always find thee one. He will adore you and cherish you for both all the days of his life and yours. Better put, he will go the DISTANCE....ALL THE WAY TO THE END. Yeah, yeah , yeah your all saying... Hey, Mariposa, what about me? Yes, well you see, first of all, a true knight will not be concerned about himself but rather the best for all that are around him. Oh, and just so you know, a maiden is held to the same standards as the knight and why shouldn't she be, he is a knight after all not a slave. This bonding is unbreakable. So, there ya have it. That is what a knight is...and being that I had one I know they exist...but are a very rare find indeed. A thought: "If you are not working toward Knighthood then why attempt a relationship at all that will only fail in the end." Unless, your simply not looking for anybody to truly care about you and you always want to be looking, then you have mastered the art of searching forever but never finding thee one that awaits you some where. Ok then............... LOL

This has been your nightly story...... Hugs to you all....and best luck in your endeavors.

Support in adjusting to day-to-day life as a widow – life without lover/partner/friend father/companion.
Fulfillment and what it means for each individual client.
Improved work-life balance. A de-stressed life.
New friendships/social connections to replace the connections/friends who may have been lost with the change in status from married to widow.

Eventually, for some, exploration of dating and dating relationships. (See Widows Dating Again class.)

It happens to us suddenly whether we know and see it coming OR it is a sudden unexpected time. But, either way, it changes our life's forever. We feel alone. Everything in our daily life has changed. The holidays have changed. Some adjust quickly and are able to jump back into the wheel of life. But, there are those others that it takes a lot longer and some times we may never adjust to what we call our NEW WORLD ORDER....... LETS TALK........Love, " The Ma ma"

GHOST OF A WOMAN

                                          The ghost of a woman...

Once there was a woman who lived a fairy tale life. She had it all. A wonderful husband, wonderful children, a beautiful home, a great job and good friends. In this fairy tale life the thought of it ever ending was not ever in her mind. The world was great and every day was good. Heck most were great!! Oh, yes, she even had a dog. Yep, a great dog ! What else is there. The love between her and her husband was what many cannot comprehend. The respect each gave to each other and hmmm, how each cared more about the other then they did themselves. This isn't easy to find, but should you ever do, NEVER LET IT GO.

In the world today many marry for simple companionship. Lacking true love and the true reason to marry. But regardless of that. The vows are until death do we part. Not to many make it all the way to that part but lets say you do. What does that mean? With a love so strong, so deep and so devoted and if the saying LOVE NEVER DIES is true, then how do they part? Even when one has been taken it is never over. When you become ONE as you do when you marry, should the marriage be for the right reasons, then how do you let half of you go and move forward when the two of you became one?

The loss of either one of you leaves you empty and lost and a ghost while still appearing to be alive. Pretending to be alive and meet the expectations of the living becomes a very difficult task. You become a ghost of who you once were. People see right through you without stopping to see what you may have once been. It is so surreal that it could be an illusion. The woman looks at the world but at a distance and with confusion. What is going on here? Maybe, since half of her is gone and the other half is lost and confused, this is where ghosts come from. From their true loves dying and leaving them behind as a ghost of themselves. My guess is there are many ghosts walking the earth today. Perhaps you have seen one.

God Bless and Love,  "The Ma ma"

The Enchanting Butterfly !!

The Enchanting Butterfly!!
Hello all !!  As anybody noticed me fluttering about? Yes, I have been to your home. To your garden. Maybe to a select few on your shoulder. We have looked each other in the eyes and together we see each other transforming. Me, well I transformed already from a fuzzy little catepillar. Wow, that was a heck of an adventure I might add. Moving ever so slowly and hope that all that spot me dont think I am going to harm them and well stomp on me. It wasn t  easy waiting for my wings.

Unlike you, I can eventually fly away and where ever I want. Yes, it is, ok, it is a wonderful feeling. I have nothing to pack and no ticket to buy. I dont need to go through customs and nobody can stop me from going any where I wish. I am free, well, once I get my wings that is.  Like you I had to crawl before I could fly and you had to crawl before you could walk.

I think my life span is much shorter then yours so in my very short life I have to use every second as though it is my last. Thats why I smell all the flowers along the way and why I have my very special moments with you. I dont have very close family. We dont stay together long any ways because we have so much to experience. You know, you do too.

In the end we will all be together in our final transformations and I will remember you and our moment we had. Will you remember me? Was I as special to you as you are to me?  My cousin the dragonfly has told me many stories that he treasures and I have so many to tell him.  I hope when you think of me the stories will be great ones, like how I stayed on that bush for so long. But most important, I hope that you will remember me and the stories cause I sure will be remembering you. Well, I must be fluttering on now. I pray your journey is an adventure and safe. Butterfly Blessings ...
